Seriously, I can’t thank Kyatt, of Beeserker enough for coming up with such a fantastic guest strip on such short notice! I was worried with this con coming up that I wasn’t gonna have a chance to get a post up for you guys. So please give him a big ol’ thank you note for getting me out of this jam!
I’ve known Mr. Kyatt here for… well over a year and have been following his work for a while. I first became aware of his work from his website called “BurnTheInternet.com” (which is one of the best URLs I’ve seen any artist get), a website/blog full of randomly humorous and awesome drawings. Kyatt is INFAMOUS for his drawings of different Pokemon evolutions AS CATS and other fun gamer stuff. He’s also done not one BUT two, Unconscious Ink [ui]‘s for me in the past (my old project): The Top Heavy Viking and SKREE! Anyway, I know I know… Life story… I’m done for now, so I leave you guys to your own explorative devices from here on out. Check out his comic and his blog, it has my seal of approval all over it.
NEWS: Because I will be SO busy this weekend at the Alternative Press Expo, I won’t have enough time to get my own post ready for monday… BUT Guess what? I just got an email from the other artist I requested a guest from, and he said “I’m In” SOOO Monday (Late Sunday) I will have another guest strip ready for your eyes! See ya then, and hopefully some of you at the Con!

Joseph: Do you have a giant scar? Missing ear? Did you replace your left eye with one of those bionic scanner thingies that shoots lasers?
Cadence: That's just silly...

Cadence: If I could shoot a laser out of that eye, why'd I cover it with hair? It would catch on fire.

Corbin: So what? That peptol Bismol you use to dye your hair is probably flame retardant. Too bad it isn't lame retardant.

in the us…. why those big expos doenst happen here on brazil? i went to an anime convention once… it sucked…
It’s probably because a lot of “main stream” art is created here, especially Comic books and animations. Japan would probably the a very close rival as far as the number of comics and animations made. I’m assuming both of us have huge cons. It sucks that you guys don’t have a bunch of cons, but I’m sure its cos we can’t afford to travel to a bunch of countries…or something like that.

for animation, japan would probably be first, dont know about comics, but for animation 40 percent(approximately) of the worlds animated shows come from japan, (i havent even seen 5 percent of what comes from japan, and i watch alot of anime) i do know that in japan they have a lot of cos-play conventions, theres at least two a month

That’s a REALLY large % of animations! When I visited Japan, I was blown away by the amount of Mangas there were! There was this one 5-6 story comic book store DEDICATED to mangas… I remember looking thru them and thinking… holy shit how the hell do the decide WHAT is “American Quality” cos seriously… idk how the hell anyone reads even 10% of what I saw in that store!

Yeah of sure. I LOVE the way that Kyatt draws expressions in general. It’s probably one of my favorite parts about the comic.

Like a “Second Hand” store. A place where people sell their old items and other people buy them later. You can get “vintage” cloths at places like that.
