Destined Legends, the RPG card game my buddies Ali, Scott, Cari and I have been working on is now officially in pre-order! Check it out, and consider pre-ordering a copy to get the shirt I designed and the rare card I drew!

Also, I have some sorta sad news. I was informed by my shirt printers the other day that the cactus green color I use for the “Save the Environment, Kill Yourself” design, has been discontinued! This means I can’t re-print them in their current state. The current design is now listed in my story as a “limited edition” and when they are gone, I will no longer be selling them. SO get one while suplies last! We are already completely out of Mediums. Sorry. :/

For bits of news!

1. Sorry for the delays with this comic. I’m really working to make sure that I do Volume 2 right! That being said, I’ve really been pushing myself artistically on my characters over at ALT to try out new styles before I reveal them again in LAWLS. Good news though is that the human characters WILL be showing up soon! In fact one of them will show up in the next strip. Originally this strip was a double sized comic, but just as I said above, I insuring that I do this comic right I also decided that I’m going to be doing each LAWLS as a single sized strip. My reason for this is I feel like I can get better jokes out per post that way PLUS I be able to grow more in between each post.

2. On ALT I’ve been running a caption contest. For those of you wondering about that, I’ll announce the winner tomorrow on Corvink with some of the strips that were sent to me for you guys to check out.

3. Check out the sidebar, I set up a twitter list for all the LAWLS/ALT Characters on twitter! Make sure to follow them for more jokes.

4. FINAL bit of news, THIS WEEKEND, I will be exhibiting at the Pancakes and Booze Art Show in DTLA! The show is $5 to get in which gets you access to FREE PANCAKES! Hope to see some of you LA people there, it’s likely I’ll have a table there selling Volume 1, art prints and shirts!

Anyway, in other news, It’s my birthday today! …and I’m REALLY tired. Grad School has really been overdoing it’s whole, “It’s not easy, be ready to work your ass off” thing lately… too many papers, too many words to write and read, too many everything… I swear, my brain is about to explode! Since I’m going to be working on papers straight through my birthday, this weekend I’m gonna have to go out and get drunk! Just hopefully not as belligerent as Hatticus here. That being said, if you live in the LA area and have a hankering to become a Belligerent Sir with me, I’ll tweet on Sat where I’m gonna be at with friends if you wanna tag along and have an unofficial meet and greet.

SO, here we are. A post… A L.A.W.L.S. POST! What does this all mean? Well it means that all your waiting is finally starting to be repaid! I’ve been holding on to a few strips and keep saying, I’ll wait until I finish all of Volume 2 to post them… which in theory is a FANTASTIC idea… but in all honesty, it’s really tough to keep yourself motivated with out deadlines. That being said, I decided to force some motivation upon myself and start posting L.A.W.L.S. again… which hey! This turns out to be a win-win! I get comics done, you get comics! Sound fair?

I can’t promise an exact schedule just yet because of mid-terms approaching in school… but what I can promise you is that there will be one comic a week at minimum. That means there will for sure be either an ALT or a L.A.W.L.S on Mondays. Then I plan to post another comic on Wednesday or Thursday depending on my schedule that week… this is the day I can’t promise, only plan to. I hope you can forgive me for this wonky scheduling.. but I’m happy that I’m at least able to get stuff out to you guys.

NEWS: First off, thank you Jkun of Crazy Sunshine, SO much for putting together this awesome strip on such short notice! He’s a funny dude, you should go check out his comic. The con this weekend was really draining so it was very much a relief to know that tomorrow I can actually relax because of Jkun here so that I can regain some energy before I absolutely die! Also, thank you to anyone who came to the show and traveled beyond that MASS OF WALL that blocked the booths visibility, I really appreciate your support! Sorry I don’t have more to say today.. I’m just beat… I need to go sleep for like ever right now.

THIS IS THE LAST STRIP IN VOLUME 1! I’m SO HAPPY to finally have it done! I apologize for this strip going up so late today. Been really busy finalizing things for the book. I just got off the phone with the printers about an hour ago and think I’ve finally negotiated the prices on printing. I’d write more, but I’ve gotta get back to work… feel like I have SOOO MUCH MORE to do for the book.

ONE MORE STRIP TILL THE BOOK IS DONE! XD I’m really excited about this guys! Come Monday to see how this EXTREMELY LONG story arch comes to a close!

Also, Just a quick heads up, when this “chapter” is over my plan is to do the following:

I will be taking a short break from “story line” comics while I finalize the rest of the book. However, this does NOT mean the comic is going on hiatus, it simply means that I will be focusing more on the ALT Universe for a while. Also, I have a few guest strips lined up from a few comic artists I think you know/will enjoy! Finally, another thing I’m gonna be working on is a new shirt/apron design. If all goes well the book should be ready in my hands and ready to ship out to you guys by the end of February or early March… and the new shirt/apron sometime early February!
